Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

So in the past twelve months there have been 3 furloughs roughly 6% our income while in the last quarter the Aero revenue was down by 1%.

The company is stealing money from it employees and giving it to wall street.

The Peter Principle is painfully evident in Aero leadership. The only reason the EPS is looking good is due to the huge stock by buyback going on so there's less shares to divide into the earnings. It also helped Dave get rid of his millions in shares to boot. The short term focus has killed the long term growth prospects of this company. No investment in new products or redesigning old ones Is why Aero revenue is going to continue the downward trend. Organic growth is next to nothing and HON overpaid for the growth companies they bought to improve the growth numbers. Dave has run out of low hanging fruit and ways to cook the books and is getting out before the schit hits the fan.

Now that davey, timmy and Darius have seen that employees tolerate this kind of bullshite, furloughs will be just standard operating procedure. It will be baked into the AOP each year. I've seen other posters on here claiming you should continue working extra hard even when Dave has you over a barrel and is literally taking food out of your kid's mouths. You are welcome to do that, maybe Dave slaps your wife as we walks out and you say thank you for employing me, master! This behavior only re enforces that they can test employees in this manner. The only way to fix this is to finishing what Dave started; sink the company so someone buys it and turns it around. The three stooges are too incompetent to run AERO.

There was a time when employees were considered by 'some' companies to be their greatest asset. This company, sadly, more than most, sees it employees as it's greatest liability. The culture of the corporate world is such that the shareholders and CEO comes first, the customers second, and the employees dead last. Yes, when things are bad they screw you, and when things are good they screw you, perhaps a little less. Loyalty, dedication and experience does not count for much anymore. Oh yes, they still expect it from you, but don't expect it from them. Such is the nature of corporate greed and the American dream. They claim that without the customers the company won't exist, but fail to appreciate that without the employees the company doesn't exist either. Wonder what happens if everyone walks out of a company?

Yahoo finance says hon eps will be in line. You can thank the furlough for that.

Honeywell employees bail out leadership and Wall Street again.

What an easy fix! Probably going to be a regular occurance at the end of each quarter.Easy money.

My .02 cents: I wish the old day were still here... where you could stay loyal for 35+ years to a company that would take care of you in retirement. Obama, Trump, Clinton, Welch, Immelt, Cote, Fields, Wagoner they all have played golf together at one time or another. This is the way the world works and we all know it. I know it's pissed me off when I've been a RIF casualty in the past, but the people I know that have done well over the years is because of what they did with their money outside of Aerospace. I've been RIF'd (5) times from Aerospace in the last (38) years and managed to have (3) retirements and a large 401K I've managed to keep rolling over from company to company. No matter what company you are at "The cream always rises to the top". Just keep hanging in there, you will be ok..... of course it is fun to have a forum like this to vent about the fools running our company.

Yea Dave is an Obama dickrider for sure. He was heading up that "fix the debt" campaign which incidentally was not as innocuous as davie wanted all of us to think.

What our ball-less leader was actually trying to do was "entitlement reform". That's right, good old dsvie wanted the government to pay down the national debt with money allocated to social security, Medicare and Medicaid. Look it up for yourself if you dont believe it. Dave is one of the biggest lying sh--bags I have ever seen.

You are 100% correct. Well, mostly. Dave is taking ot for himself and giving the rest to wall street. That's all it is. Honeywell is still making obscene amounts of money. Just remember this when you go into work!
