Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Next Layoffs

Be Happy in the fact you were not one of the many selected in this round of layoffs. But, prepare yourselves for the next round, because this isn't over yet. You could be next.

If Honeywell messes around with the old pension plan. It will be class action law suit time. To the everlasting shame of the Aero leadership and CEO

There will be more layoffs in 2017 into 2018. Furloughs will also continue. Just keep working to your full potential as you make Dave and Timmy rich. Just ignore that you make less year over year while Dave and the rest of the dickriders get million dollar bonuses. Just work as hsrd as you can until they have a chance to toss you out with the trash.

That or the planned 10% pay reduction will be the last straw for me.

If this is true, it would actually make me happy (happier) that I was laid off.

What may be last straw at least for me is if thery F__- around again with our pension plan (formally know as part A from the old days) . I have enough years to retire but still have long stretch to Medicare & SS.

I hope I am wrong, but I have heard from several sources that the next furlough, which will affect everyone including Engineering, will happen in December. No surprise...that's been reported here before. What s---s is that there is discussion to use the "holiday" week between Christmas and New Years as the next furlough time. What leads credence to this is that both Boeing and Airbus threatened assertions to HON if Engineering was included in the latest furlough. Thus the exemption. But the holiday week break is known to all HON customers and they plan around it. So why not use as the furlough. Kills two birds with one stone.

This for many would be the last straw.
