Some things never change... I am so glad I was able to retire early and get out before it became Century Link. I have only heard bad things about them from folks on the inside. Service and employees are at the very bottom of priority list. So much about 'leading' the pack. If you are still with CL - good luck....

Oh, again???
Wont up grade our plants leaving areas where the youth and college students live with only 1.5 service and wonder why we lose customers
Good luck to all
I just retired early 2.5 weeks ago. It would have been nice if my VP could have dropped a hint that this was coming. I had a strong feeling they were leading up to this. First, in April they reduced the max severance almost in half to 30 weeks. Then in July, the moved select employees to FTO (flexible time off)instead of PTO. That way they have no PTO bucket to pay out during layoffs... I'm bitter that I couldn't get a package but thrilled to be out of there!
As bad as they are, Wells Fargo just fired 5300 employees for credit card fraud. The amazing result, to me, was that WF gave the division head $125,000,000 to retire. We working stiffs who give a company 8 for 8 don't have a chance. My father would not have been able to understand today's work and business ethics.
