Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Brian Cornhole wants you to step up.

Brian wants you to step up for the slow sales in the stores, to make up for his ultra liberal view agenda. Take a break and tell him to come and do it himself.

Target has hired so many SVPs and EVPs in Brian's tenure that can identify all the problems we have. Why didn't he hire any that could actally solve them. Idiots all!

Is there any top line strategy at Target or just trim the bottom. All I am hearing is pull back and follow the same path as Best Buy which has resulted in no inovation for BBY for 8-9 years.

ain't worried 'bout nothin'

I ain't wearin' na nada

I'm sittin' pretty, impatient, but I know you gotta

Put in them hours, I'mma make it hotter

I'm sending pic after picture, I'mma get you fired

I know you're always on the night shift

But I can't stand these nights aljuuone

And I don't need no explanation

'Cause baby, you're the boss at home

You don't gotta go to work, work, work, work, work, work, work

But you gotta put in work, work, work, work, work, work, work

You don't gotta go to work, work, work, work, work, work, work

Let my body do the work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work

We can work from home, oh, oh, oh oh

We can work from home, oh, oh, oh oh

@Jq77z9f-5ymw: any thoughts on the fed raising rates? Insight into the latest jobs numbers? Predictions for winter snowfall?

When leadership decides to buy back stock it means they don't have any ideas of how or what to invest in (strategies, locations, products or people) that will move the company forward... If you aren't moving forward for the long term...probably taking a downward path.

Oh come on, you're embarrassing yourselves as you pile on... For the keyboard cowboy referencing Amazon and Walmart and Target's fool hardy buy back plan, you may want to fire up your google as they are both also in the midst of large scale stock buy backs.

The CEO of Wells Fargo has been on TGT's board for years... makes you wonder what poison he brings to the table as well...

Yeah, while Amazon and Walmart are figuring out how to lower prices for their customers and eating Target's lunch, we buy back stock. I guess it really is NOT all about the guest, those are just cheap words at Target.

While he continues to squeeze team members via layoffs and grudgingly on any pay increases, he has found 5 billion more to buyback stock. Zero investment in team, investors get yours while there is still a Target to get from....I'm hearing a flushing sound for good ole TGT.

That was by far the least enthusiastic national meeting I've been to. They've lost the troops.

He fired so many managers hoping to speed up decision making but the opposite has happened. Today no one makes decisions and we sit around and wait.

The quality of posts here have really gone down. Instead of professionals talking about items of substance that impact Target, now you have cranks trying to do their best Breitbart impersonation.

Keep it on the AM radio dial. The adults are talking here.

I say all those high priced SVPs he brought in ought to get to work or get out. I'm comfortable just letting things play out personally.

Funny how he asks us to clean up after his messes, yet he won't give us the keys and let us drive. It's like sitting in a taxi that's taking the longest route possible because the driver doesn't know the destination, and then being asked to make the ride faster as a passenger.

I'm getting tired of him repeating that we have the correct strategy in place (his). Clearly we do not and the board needs to act. He is not an inspiring enough leader to call for action. He tore the company apart and is now begging us to support him. Forget him....
