Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Layoffs, New Job new begining For all the whining re Intel, the only option after leaving Intel is Retire or Find a Job.

Lots of people lose jobs everday. Even Murthy was fired and found a new Job, follow his example don't be a cry baby. Go interview, lot more open Jobs for EEs, then Sr Execs

I fully agree, took ERP mainly for private reasons here in GER and am getting multiple offers a Month for interviews. Happy with the economy taking of again and seeing this also at Intel with their 7.5% increase in x86 sales reflected in the (for me) all time high share price. Professional and financial outlook could not be better!!

Haha. Good warning for all those non-believing, pathetic minions so scared they hide in the shadows and do nothing just waiting for ACTs. Great show.

You're assuming those leaving Intel for other companies will still have their job in 2017 and 2018 ???

Assumptions make ar$$es of people ... declining economy means, layoffs in more companies will continue.

It's worth going on interviews, getting out is critical. Engineers don't network well. I actually got work working for someone I mentored 7 years ago. Keep all options open. Nothing beats sharing a cup of coffee to get insights

Agreed, right now is a great time for those still at Intel to find a job, but when ACT2 and ACT3 come in 2017 and 2018 there will be thousands if not tens of thousand with similar skills and very desperate all competing for the limited opens.

Best time to look is when you have a job, LOL
