Target boycott is at 1,419,702. It is not going away.

Target has put their female employees and customers in danger......that is never good for the pocketbook!
it really is a fart in the wind.... Satistically half of American households shop at target, the numbers posted for the "boycott" are statistically insignificant, and that's assuming they're real. It's more than likely the numbers posted are highly inflated as any individual or group could sign up as many times as they can click bogus names.
Back to sales.... if there was an impact sales would be down by a similar amount across all categories, and they are not. What we anyone can see in the data is inconsistent sales performance meaning out of stocks and product mix problems are the issue. In other words poor retail execution.
I see sales by area all the time and there's no difference in sales from boycotting areas year over year. That is a fact!
Is there any relationship between sales in stores and the location (presumably conservative ares) of signers of the boycott? Statements on this board tend to lack substance. It would be great if anyone with insights into sales data could comment.
