Hurray hurray!!!! Mr RL has said clearly in townhall that Bartlesville is here to stay. It is cheapest cost to specialized support. All the foxes and hyenas in Houston will be very hurt to hear (in?) this. I am buying another house in Bartlesville just to celebrate.

Anyone who at this point still trusts RL is certifiable. Several examples listed here already where he has made a definitive, public statement and then done something completely different. Stop listening to what the ELT says and start paying attention to what they actually DO. I firmly believe they have been and will continue to slim done the company by selling assets and shedding people until they Re attractive enough to be bought or there is nothing left, whichever comes first. And they don't care which way it goes. Either way there is no long play for COP.
All those who are left after this round, congratulations, but be very cautious. Take care of yourselves no matter where you live. And to those who were laid off...if you're happy, good for you, but if it was not your choice, get your head together as soon as you can and get back out there. Being tossed from a sinking ship is not as big of a loss as it feels like right now. Whatever your situation, try to remember as you post on this site that there are real, impacted people behind their keyboards and almost all of them are hurting.
I'm glad you are buying houses! You can buy my house and I'll rent until I can get out of here!
COP will be sold off before the turn around. They will continue to shrink until they are digestible by a suitor. Be careful of your life plans be prepared to move, retool or retire.
RL is looking to sell cop so he and his management team can walk away with their change in control severance, rsu's,options vest and all the different retirement plans those have. If you work in b-ville you should be looking to dump your house. That clown mulva really liked that town
I have it on good authority that the company is planning on moving everyone from the Complex to Bartlesville. The cost of maintaining the Complex is too high while the BVille buildings are still in good shape. You heard it today in the town hall if you read between the lines. This will happen after the next round of layoffs; offering people the opportunity to move and laying off the rest.
Sure, under COP Bville might be safe for now. However, in 2-5 years when COP is taken over how safe will it be? It will take a lot of good luck to save Bville.
Yes!! Because Gymnastics are a Bartlesville "TRADITION" !!
Buy as many as you want, they're cheap, no one else wants them! You can rent them out to the meth and crack heads.
Who would want to live in that dismal place anyway??????
He also said in the last round of layoffs that they would cut deep enough that we wouldn't have to have any more layoffs. LOL... Yea right!!
You go right ahead and buy those houses! Remember this the guy that said preserving the dividend was our number one priority and then cut it to a third two months later!
Be careful with that plan, I know for a fact that they did not want to shut down Bartlesville and move people to Houston because COP did not want to have to buy all of the worthless houses of the transferees.
Things can change quickly, haven't your learned that yet. And don't trust anything RL says.
But is RL here to stay...that's the question
COP Gymnastics saved!
