Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How Intel rewards achievement and success

This example is from iCDG but I'm sure everyone has their own:

  1. Single handedly delivered LTE solution for Intel and put them back in the mobile race - Dresden site closed.

  2. Delivered Apple and put Intel back in the mobile game - Sophia Antipolis closed as soon as PO faxed for 7360.

  3. Delivering 7560 the next big platform in lte modems - Nuremberg scheduled to close after this is achieved in early 2017.

  4. Working hard on making a competitive platform going forward - Munich to close shortly after 7660 TO.

CONTRAST THAT WITH AICHA ACHIEVEMENTS.

Before saying a word about French or German, think ... ( I know that it hurts, but try... ).

Example: Altera, struggles since 2013 to build its FPGA on 14nm node has slipped to 2017.

The problem maybe somewhere else ...

LTE got delayed good bit and is still not competitive enough. It is also not integrated at silicon level. It has been the biggest thing that held Intel back in mobile. No sympathies for any modem teams.

The more company $$$ you lose, the higher you go. If you actually make some bucks for the company, you get fired.

Intel makes logic, it just doesn't use it.
