Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Truth Is...

As a former EDMC employee from the Art Institute I have been checking this site before and after I was laid off in June. After working for Ai nearly 6yrs I knew the end was coming but when it came it was still painful. I did a great job at Ai with little help or support and it was a rough 6yrs.

I can be candid now and say I should have gotten out after 6months but I kept hoping and wishing it would get better...sadly over the years it got worse. I hated my Dean (s) and President (s), they were all idiots and all slippery, underhanded, and snakes in the grass.

I encourage all my friends who still work at my former Ai campus to walk, skip, trot, run, out of Ai as soon as possible. Its like changing deck chairs on the Titanic. I fully anticipate all Ai's to be closed no later than spring 2017 if a Democrat is in the White House. If a Republican wins (let's pray Captain Crunch aka Donald Trump loses) then I fully expect for-profits to get a new life in another form somewhat in the vein of Trump University.

So I am happy the DOE is cracking down on all these proprietary schools and I hope the end comes swift.

Note of Caution, those employees who are left as the ship continues to sink will not get the best severance packages so you better leave before all you get is time you havr worked.

Really?? After everything that has happened over the last 5 years you want proof? Look around you. That should tell you everything you need to know
