Human Rights - Corporate Equality Index 2016 for g-- men and women

Any g-- people still employed at NOV better hope that GE does take over. General Electric scores a 100 on the criteria for rights for g-- employees, while NOV got a 10. Even worse, NOV didn't even bother to respond to the survey. So many great companies to work for out there that care about the rights of all, including g-- men and women. Those companies took the time to respond and actively make their g-- employees feel welcome in the company.

As I conduct my job search, I will surely pay attention to what the company endeavors are the human rights of its employees. While working for NOV, I had to go back in the closet. That was after I had worked for many years at another corporation that also scored a 100 on the survey. I have no idea why I accepted this for myself and really should have started looking for something else as soon as the oppressive environment I was in became clear to me. This time around, I need to promise myself that I will have more self-respect.

Bring on General Electric!!

Like the inner circle in St Paul that protected each other in the administrative part of the building. That finally got blown to smithereens as is the law of the universe and impermanence. I knew it was just a matter of time. Made for a very uncomfortable and high school type of atmosphere to work in. Hope I never have to endure that again at my new workplace.

I don't think NOV is against any specific group, but they are definitely FOR those "good ole boys" because if you aren't in that network you don't get promoted and HR doesn't protect you. So basically it doesn't matter what minority group you are in, the only minority group that matters is the inner circle.
