I have said it before, the management built by x86 empire has breeded a top to bottom line of managers who simply have been dummified by the x86 arrogance. They come in smart, but if they can think with any creativity and innovation that is beaten out of them or they are fired. Intel management chain from top to bottom is dummified bunch of morons who aren't capable of making smart or bold strategic decisions.

Starts at the top and until we get an outsider expect the stupidity to continue

Intel doesn't "partner" with anyone.

They meddle and DICTATE.

Does joint venture mean they couldn't get anyone to buy the business outright? Whatever happened to the Micron joint venture in Utah from about 10 years ago?

Another example of an Intel joint venture is Care Innovations, which was spun off with GE out of the failed Intel Digital Healthcare business.

After pouring money into it for several years to keep it afloat, GE bailed earlier this year and it's now only an Intel venture.

I see a joint venture with Intel as the worst of both worlds: All of the BS of being part of Intel (Intel meddling, execs, all of the useless overhead of dealing with Intel) while constantly being questioned about results by both venture investors (who, of course, won't be able to get on the same page about goals, objectives...or anything).

The net is that being part of Intel s---ed billions of dollars of value out of McAfee already.

It's a joint venture you imbecile. A separate company. Layoffs announced next week.

They aren't exactly selling it off. Well, not at 100%. TPG will have 51% stake with Intel 49%. Unsure what that means to Intel though... I'm not familiar with partial sales of a business unit.

Can someone smarter than I am about these things care to enlighten us?
