Back in Infineon times, Germany was fine. The miserable Intel management "managed" to destroy any morale and drive everybody nuts with chaotic activities and top-down stupid decisions.

In Europe Intel is closing lots of sites or preparing to close them during next couple of years. Gone are Sweden, Denmark and France. Germany, Finland, Netherlands and the other sites are being radically downsized and will probably be closed during the next round.

Duisberg and Nuremberg will be closed by 2017 for sure. It will be part of site consolidation in Germany.

They're in Germany because of their plan to win in mobile. Now that that's failed, it makes sense to dump Germany. It cost an arm and a leg to integrate Infineon and all for naught. Ditto McAfee.

Ha ha germs your works council will protect you. Or maybe auntie Merkel will declare a state of emergency and put Germany in a state of war against American capitalism. Most likely you will receive notice of termination in June 2017, be given a big bag of f--- off euros and kicked into the gutter by Aicha.
