Grade 8 will go over 200K with total comp. G9 will go over with just cash (salary & bonuses). G10 can go over on just salary, especially if they are a principle engineer as they make more than a G10 manager. Keep in mind that these values are for technical positions. Non-technical jobs (e.g. HR) will pay less and legal jobs (I.e. attorney) will pay more. Also, this doesn't account for a site differential (e.g. California).

I really don't care what jobs at Intel pay.

I've been banned for life from working there - not that I'd want to - because I was "successful" and "new to Intel" (i.e. met ACT ISP criteria).

In Cali 200K will allow you to live reasonably well, cannot splurge though

My director does not do jack-$hit. He only knows how to pile work (include work out of scope, duplication of work just so he can compare the work completed) on the people and reduce them to being his slaves. Idiot from the factory does not know anything, does not understand, is not willing to understand.. When he can not answer questions asked, or give proper directions of what is required, has no direction or strategy for the team .. he barks that it is not his business to spoon feed, work it out yourself.

HIS ONLY OBJECTIVE IS KEEPING THE GM HAPPY TO STAY AROUND EARNING BIG MONEY, TRAVEL EVERY WEEK and MAKE LIFE HELL FOR OTHERS including the admin.

Total comp: base salary+bonus+profit sharing + stock + SERP.

Intel does pay well till they lay you off for totally unfounded and stupid criteria. Ask a few people who got shafted this time around

I am grade 8 and make close to $200k total comp in Intel SC. This is exactly why I do not want to leave Intel unless I am forced out. Yes, there is lots of stress and BS from management and is no longer a GPTW, but the $$ makes me stay.

Well they could of in the first round of ACT.

In my org they just cut the worker bees and kept the managers - now managers are wanting to hire contractors to replace the ones that left on their own or forced out.

Many of those managers are the higher grade levels.

The range of salaries is very overlapping and Gr9 and Gr10 make this with and even Gr8 can with factor for SERP and stock

Intel needs to relieve itself of many level 10 and higher. Most of these people are considered "staff" and do not make huge contributions. They also do not have leadership roles and are in these positions through longevity. They need to be purged.

Intel has too many Grade 10's and needs to trim the fat.
