Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel needs yearly purge

Intel needs to have a yearly purge - no reasons needed, nobody excluded. I have been with Intel for 10 years and at this point I am ok whether or not I am on the cut list.

Intel needs quarterly purge, there are too many failed and delayed projects/products/efforts. Some accountability please, blame starting at the TOP not the bottom.

Holding responsible the LAZY, OLD, UNSKILLED, stupid TOP MANAGEMENT of each ORG for their failed leadership.

A purely random cut would be better than the respect and dignity method.

Yes, clueless RCGs have taken over as the most bloated area in need of significant reduction. They are employees who were rammed through the liberal institutions without any kind of training on what had made the country great. Their mentality is so alien to the generations that built the country. So sad. Creativity and mfg continues to be shed from the former greatest economic power now being surpassed by China. Millennials will sleep through with greatest contribution being Tranny restrooms.

There's PLENTY of dead weight to go around. Everyone from clueless RCGs playing Pokemon to rusty old farts that only know how to scratch their azz.

PLENTY of these people still around.

@1igx difference is, now I see most of the deadweight around me is 1-2 year folks instead of 25+ year. RCG's and interns can't put their phones down long enough to get anything done.

This youth movement BK is on will backfire in a big way. The lack of experience I'm seeing just makes you shake your head - even the people that try hard simply don't know what to do half the time. That's fine when 10-20% of your team is new. When it's 50%+ things go south.

And I fully expect Intel to be to diversity what Enron was to upper management. Our fall appears to be coming, and accurate or not, people will point to the diversity movement as the starting point.

Makes sense because Intel is in such a mess. It's products don't sell real well and it has been surpassed in chip technology. The four areas of business growth focus don't even include chip sales. Gone are the good days and a field of landmines awaits. There will be many casualties in the future.

Have no fear, yearly purges will remain until Intel gets down to 50k worldwide.

Have no fear, there was ACT.1 in 2015, ACT in 2016 and there will be ACT1 in 2017 and ACT2 in 2018.

Remember he said in BUM real performance management is here back. Pretty much IR will be gone each year.

Look around that is 3 out of every hundred is going.

Once we see how Kaby and Coffee fail to stop x86 slide again all L4/L5 stock will go for another 4%

And when 10nm fails in 2018 we'lol like see another 20k

This has already been happening on a yearly basis with VSPs, factory closures, stealth layoffs, etc. since 2013 when BK became CEO. ACT in 2016 is just the masterpiece from all the dress rehearsals of the previous years. And given the company's trajectory, I wouldn't be surprised if there is an ACT2, ACT3, etc. coming up in the next several years.
