Just been speaking to someone who works alongside Tungaloy. They've recieved the whole list of Kennametal yearly usage items from the NOV site in Gateshead through someone I think he said were called ATC tools (??). They got it because his 'mate' has just started there. Looks likes changes on the tooling front aswell, but not to save money as it wont be as cheap as Kennametal.. just to get back handers from their mates! PATHETIC.

The fact of the mater is if you are a business manager really looking for savings then improved process and productivity is the way to go. Saving 5% on your tooling cost is great but taking 30% out of a cycle time will save far more money and make the company market competitve.
Sandvik and Kennametal are the best in the world for foing this that is a fact. A company the size of NOV buying power would only go to a back street distributor if
A) the manager does not understand the industry and is out of his depth with tooling management
B) something untoward is going on
I know ACT have recieved drawings for a project From senior management in advance of anyone else getting them

Someone really needs to tell you how this industry works mate. How do you think kennametal got their contract to rob.... I mean supply the company ??
