Well it has hit a new low again. I know the market is not doing well but come on stock is down to $7.28! I am sorry to those who are still around, and to those who were stupid (sorry not PC, never have been, never will be) enough to leave the 401(k) with money in Staples Stock. Just think of all those years of catch-up you have now!
Leave the company, there is better, don't stay due to loyalty, Staples has, and will keep on turning on their faithful employees in a heartbeat!
Well just think of people that are in different places around the US earning 90,000K they are called Consultants, Managers, Associate Project Managers, or other names. Some fat needs to be trimmed, now is a good time!
I wish I were pulling the titles or salaries out of a hat, but they exist! There is a lot of waste there.

Things will continually get worse, not better. Expectations will increase while payroll, raises and bonuses whither to nothing. When is the last time a GM that met all the criteria actually got the bonus they earned?
The lower the stock goes the more corp will strip away from the stores. Expect PTO to be reduced, health insurance premiums to double, salary freezes or even reductions.
Four weeks off after ten years of service? We will fix that.... harass or fire anyone with over ten years of service and then revise the policy. 1 week for up to four years, 2 weeks for 5-15 years, 3 weeks for 15-20, but none one will make it that far!
This company is going down! The next step will be keyholder reduction - GMs get ready to open and close 6 days a week, if you're lucky enough to get even 1 day off.
