Thread regarding Wipro Ltd. layoffs

Wipro is going down, sooner than you think.

Having worked in Wipro, that too in an internal project, I have seen and heard a lot of things which people in client projects consider rumors. The current management is not made up of single technical expert. Not Everybody is from a managerial background as well. There are people who think developers make applications from thin air. This level of reasoning from the top level has forced its way into laying off thousands already. The approach they're following is like this :for every sheep, they have ten Shepards, if you know what I mean. This only increases the cost of running the company thus it is still going to go bankrupt even if they layoff more employees. If you are from Wipro and if you feel you are working harder than what they pay for, stop it now. It's not worth it.

The mgmt at wipro is 99% clueless . they change often, and are interchangable, bc all of them are clueless . it doesnt matter that i've had 5-6 mgrs in a 2 yr period . sdms just as useless .

The one is to ten Shepard ratio is true and will remain true no matter what changes are done. That's how Indian IT industry had been running. There is only talk and no hands-on expertise in such Shepard's.

That is true, but it seems they have understood the situation and trying to reverse the order. They are less inclined towards managers now and want people who are technical to take up management roles as well.
