45 yo, FLM, ISP end of April (on payroll thru end of May). Started looking early June, received offer higher salary w/in 3 weeks.

Over 50 and ISPed end of May. Found a job in June - it requires going out of the country for 2 weeks a month to managing engineering teams in other countires. Took a salary cut but enjoying the new job.
Keep a positive attitude and keep your spirits high. Expand the search to other parts of the country and be open to travel. Good luck to all of you - i know that I needed a paycheck and insurance to support my family. I wish you all the best in your job endeavors.
45 yo, 20 yrs @ Intel, systems engineer, took VSP, had two offers within 2 months of leaving. Life is so much better and I should have left over a decade ago. It's all about confidence..know you're amazing and it'll shine through. You really are -- Intel hired you in their hayday.

VSP'd in Intel Penang, June '16 now still no job. Applied >70 engineering jobs with 7 interviews to date but till now still zero offer. Giving up applying now. Very sad.
MSEE 29yrs at Intel in chip development area. Only company I worked for.
Luckily took only 17 days from last day at Intel to start of new job. There is life after Intel!
days turn into weeks.. weeks turns into months... that seems to be the case for OP. In another month (by mid Nov), if you are still unemployed, I'll say just stop looking, take a break and wait until next year... by mid Nov, most people/companies start planning vacations and such.. by the time they're ready to have new openings posted again, it will probably be in January or early Feb.. Good luck.

Every current Intel employee should self assess their plan. Business continues to deteriorate, 10nm situation is horrid and ACT2 and ACT3 are a certainty with much fewer benefits. Those with dependents better have a year and more of cash saved up as it will be ugly in those enclaves dominated by Intelers, SOL will be what Thur are!

ISP this year. Male, 45, in SC. Got many calls from HR recruiters with high interest. Then dead silence after that. I then found out after some prying that many companies have blacklisted Intel ISP/VSP folks. F BK and Intel. I'm still looking.
VSP - Hardware guy 45 yrs old, last day was 6/24/16 here in Oregon ..I am SOL. No solid job offers, some tech jobs, but that is all I am seeing. My recruiter told me to move to Seattle, Austin, Bay Area. Oregon is saturated with PHDs looking for anything. it is sick and sad.

Three months.
First interview one week after I was unceremoniously walked out after 20 years with 5' to pack my cube, my boss and boss's boss, what a pair of guys.
First job offer three weeks later
Waited till I had 5 offers to noodle, anywhere form 40% pay raise to 20% pay cut before I decided.
Enjoyed my summer and started working in September!
landed a new gig in about 2 months. Also depends on where you're located and your expertise. e.g. hardware engineers in Oregon is generally SOL.

hardware guy here, late 40s. VSP'd on 6/26, got an offer on 9/8. however, I have to say that most of the interest came after companies returned from summer vacation.
