Thread regarding Infosys Ltd. layoffs

My concern

I've been with Infosys since 2013, I am in SA and I like it here. I have a problem with attrition that we are seeing right now - a lot of people leave after a year or two. It feels that we only have junior people and all knowledgeable folks are quick to leave?

Why is this so? Why don't we do something that will fix this issue so we can retain talent once it becomes valuable? I am sure Infosys is not the only company facing this problem - in my mind this is worse than layoffs as good people leave this way - when you have layoffs you try to get rid of people who are poor performers...

Thoughts?

They need heads that they can use for counting and not smart people. They know smart people leave. Infosys have lot of cheap practices, like they ask for parking fee, that too 500 for car. They have the most deceptive salary breakup in offer letter. The general working methodology is to scare you out so that you start working like a donkey .

the real reason behind prople quitting after 1 or 2 yrs is the incomptency of the people immediately above them.

If a newbie is smart.. then he/she would never want to be under a foolish TL... or a not so smart manager.

The boss should always be smarter, sharper, more knowledgeable. Infy has too many incompetent people up the ladder... and nobody wants to be under an invompetent leader.

The main concern is each one should be responsible for their work..say for example, work for DM say drilled down to lead or analyst level n in the end analyst gets over pressurised..n those who highlight much gets reward...in the end the leave...n salary is not much as compared to others....

Hr is not capable.

There is a lot of reshuffling of technology from one project to another, but after gaining expertise or interest in one technology, you will be expected to start all over again with a new technology.

That's a waste of knowledge.

Very frustrating to employees.

They can choose to switch one they've gained some experience in a technology for which they will be hired outside.

Hi all, I feel some time its not with Infosys its at lower level ...managers they are not happy with. If you see in any project there is an efficient employee ...but they always go on perception spread by they managers ..hence efficiency is killed , and person never gets what he deserve, and leaves 2) salary we have to accept its less 3) every day different pressure from client
