I too thought announcing Bryant's promotion was more than distasteful @1ykp, as did a LOT of people from the Circuit post. However, that was explained in the article after they got blasted big time for it. I'm no longer there (ERPed) so can't find the exact quote for you but it has to do with something about that they have to announce things like that in a timely manner and can't wait. Some law or something.
Unsure why she was promo'ed at that time but I'm sure there was some reason (maybe threatening to walk like it seems Aicha did?). Dunno, but that announcement was out of their hands, they had to.
There has been "grade inflation" in corporate titles for years, not just at Intel. I don't truly think Intel has more than average for that size global corporation. LinkedIn reports the percentage of their members claiming to be corporate 'vice presidents' has gone off the charts. I do think that Intel announcing a senior VP promotion right after ACT (was it Bryant?) was distasteful, but I don't think they have more than average. That said, it will be interesting to see if ANY of them get ISP or even VSP going forward. Doubt it. Of course, the big ISP oughta be BK.

Yes. Lots will need to go in order to place key indicator of mean profit per capita into center of tech distribution. Intel is falling well short of distribution right now. Since there will be no miracle profits, cuts will be made.
