There has been so much illogical cost-cutting within Honeywell that it implies that something large is looming. Does anyone else think this bizarre leadership behavior indicates something significant?
I wonder, are similar things happening at UTC?

UTX sold Sikorsky- HON power units (main rotor) are in most of the helicopters. Pratt & Whitney recently received a contract that will take them into ~2032 and then announced that they will be hiring somewhere in the range of 4,000 employees. The State of Connecticut just offered UTX a huge tax break/benefit to stay in the state. It makes perfect sense for UTX to purchase the PHX Engines group.
It's a lot easier to pass a hollow turd.
