I heard that the Elmurst store has a new manager. This manager came from two previous stores that closed. They believe he is there to control cost and ordering before this store closes. Again this is just speculation.

Just because the new manager came from previously closed stores doesn't mean he's there to close your store. With the job market so bad, especially for those over age 40 to 50, he may have agreed to move for the company to take a position wherever one is available when his previous store closed.
just to keep a job and health insurance. I believe the company as a whole will be liquidated or bankrupt sometime in 2017 anyway.
