Don't delegate: Do everything you can yourself to make things go faster.

Don't get in the way if you're not adding value. Let the people actually doing the work talk to each other while you go do something else.

Don't be a bureaucrat.

Ideas are more important than age. Just because someone is junior doesn't mean they don't deserve respect and cooperation.

The worst thing you can do is stop someone from doing something by saying, “No. Period.” If you say no, you have to help them find a better way to get it done.

: @JMpEM6u-1iql you got it right, it is about turf mud wrestling at the VP level, trying to insure one's own GM doesn't get blamed versus do the right strategic thing. There is no compromise and collaboration as there is no reward for that. It is all focused on how you can blame the other for project failures or schedule slip, all about CYA.

The key difference is that managers at Google are trying to get things done in support of the corporate or group strategy while managers at Intel are trying to get credit for what they think their own managers want.

Intel has no out of box smart people in senior management nor any vision.

On the other hand for Intel's core strength is a bit different than google, but look who we have on BOD and in senior management compared to TSMC !

Google is a different Generation company. Open to learnin?. Much more diversified, more Asians, Indian,s, women without the Intel Attitude.

The current Google CEO reported to the current Yahoo CEO, he was promoted over her she then decided to leave Google.

Intel view of human Talent is very Southern plantation. AT Google a good engineer in China, India, or Mntn View can aspire to be CEO.
