What do you hope to get out of unionizing? I mean specifically?

A union would add valuable exposure and inertia to the short-sighted, ill-disposed policy and benefit changes management currently imposes on employees.
If it does nothing else it puts a weed up management's a--.
Collective bargaining will ensure that employees are rewarded when the company does well, that the CEO will not be rewarded on the backs of the workers. Collective bargaining will allow for a data drive negotiations and drive equal accountability for the health and prosperity of all.
Anything else?
Make the company have to re-negotiate every time they want to take something away from the worker.
