I was wondering if the signage is going to be available to laid-off employees on a first come first basis? My store was built in 1966 and there are some cool signs and/letters that I would like to salvage. Like on American Pickers where they find old dime store or gas station signs.

I am all over the DieHard Letters that are over our battery rack. I have been digging through all of our old cardboard signage for something cool that only says SEARS and not some promotional credit crap. I think someone beat me to it.
The giant K is cool. That was an icon. Smart move if you have the space.
I bought the guys removing our signs lunch and they gave it to me. I have a big red K in my garage.
Why the hell would anyone want a big red K or sears logo ? altho, it would be funny to use SYW points to pay for it.
The morning after our store closed a crew came and removed every piece of SHC signage from the exterior of our store and hauled it away. Signage maybe available, but that would be at the discretion of the person in charge of your store liquidation. Be sure to talk with them well before the day your store is scheduled to close.
If the closing store accepts points and they ring it up as a dept number purchase, say 05 for hardware, points will work. However I have seen fixtures rung up through registers as regional merchandise, which points don't work on.
The closing store will sell anything in the store.
@JKZgp9J-agr No you will not be able to use SYW points towards the defunct signage. They will be considered store fixtures and you won't be able to use the SYW points towards them.
