Based out of ME, with years of HR experience in O&G with the competition, I applied for the recently advertised HR Director position. After going through four interviews, lastly with a SVP, just found out that they hired a lady who was fired earlier by NOV for ethics violations. I am actually ashamed of myself for thinking so high of NOV all these years and thankful that I did not succeed in placing my future and career with such an entity. Good riddance!

What a joker and coward the person who writes about Sadagopan! You obviously know jack sh-- about him or HR if you are lamely defending the hiring of someone fired by him and wasted other professional folks valuable time. What a pu--y cat you are.
Good luck to the person who got the job! Reading this post, I am curiously compelled to share my own experience. I was interviewed by one very senior HR person for the same position. 5 minutes in to the discussion, I knew I stood no chance and was there only to make up the numbers. More than my qualifications , experience or specific skills for the job, I had to sit and listen to this gent rattle off how his predecessor robbed the company and how incompetent he was etc. Everything happens for the best they say and I did get a funny regret.

Looks like the pansy varconians who escaped to ME with the sacking of MM + 3 others are trying to blame everything Matta + 3. Keen to know whether there is at least a case filed in a court here in UAE for the alleged crimes? If anyone can update what happened to all the millions supposedly stolen? Shareholders will be watching closely how much of legal fees company pays to satisfy the egos of these so called saints. Time will tell!
The lady who was recently hired also went through the same process like you. She was fired because the old management HR management was manipulated by Sadeesh Sadagopan. If you don't please him you're out! Good to know she's back for sure she can give change to the region!

Who you know in Dubai is how you get in there! very true. I left on my own for better money sometime back but was there long enough to know some eye popping stuff. Only a handful of people were truly professional in what they did and basically they did all the work. All of them were either let go or made to quit. Matta and his clan took the credit. Good example is your payroll guy, I think he is a big manager now. He was picked up from the old jafza typing joint and I still remember how he use to " hunt-n-peck" through his day there asking everyone who went in there for a job till he became ideal prey. How many people who left the company or was fired got salary for months afterwards only very people would be able to answer.
Yes it always true, I see that when I still in school. They hire a freshman at uh for me internship position. That guy not even take static class yet but still in.the only reason his uncle is 6 month away from retirement as director. How do I know I was the machinist assign to his pro joke . Guess what after graduate he have 5 year experiences, and jump to senior engineer position. What can u do about that???. Nothing.

Sad that they put you through 4 rounds N then pick someone who was fired. Surely this cannot be true!! I dunno why any company would do thus. Something's wrong here

It is not what you know, but who you know......You are better off not working for NOV....
NOV is a sh-- hole to work for, she knows how to s--- a root & swallow. Probably toss a little salad to, that's how you move up at NOV. No moral compass, goes for the company & a majority of plant mgt.
