After being given the boot over a year ago, I've had time to reflect on how I was treated as an employee and all the back breaking work I did for STAPLES over the years, the dinners that were lost because I had to work late, the time off denials because my lead didn't want to cover my route for one day. Yeah it's been a year now and working for someone else doing something completely different and who appreciates me as an individual and cares about my well being, my current employer just told me "how are things at home" I replied with a smile and said great..

Spent 14 years with staples as a Gm. I was devastated when they closed my store. Two years later I could not be happier wish I would have left 6 years ago when things started getting bad. Any one still working there move on you wil bel far better off.
Gongtats to you, and finally realizing you don't have to suffer at your job. And yes it can and it will make you sick. Your health is more important, you can get another job but not another life.
Staples S---s, get out of there. Just a bunch of over losers that think they know how to run a company. Leadership the last three years has been a joke. I'm so happy I quit last month, Region 9 DM's are just a-- kisses. They know who they are, I would mention names. But we all know if I state a name my comment would be deleted. So I'll just say this, DM's you think your a-- kissing is keeping your JOB. But the truth is DMs will soon be on the unemployment line. you think your job is safe, it's really not.
I'm happy for you, and others that have escaped and found the grass can be greener elsewhere.
I just had a major relapse of the gastrointestinal problems that my Dr. said were largely caused by stress from work a year ago, and now over money. If I only knew back then just how much Staples would screw me up.
