Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Would like to know about others' experience/thoughts on Dice contract position emails.

I get 2/3 emails every week for 6/9 months HW contracts positions. I reply. But eventually no call or response. Is it a scam or what?

Just avoid Indian recruiters. They are 3rd tier or 4th tier and have little chance of getting you a job. They work from India even if they show a US address.

Good to look and good to evaluate, research companies carefully. There are lots of good companies out there that aren't taking water and have the 10nm iceberg sinking it below the waterline. Sadly most of the portage don't know it is going to sink yet and still hear the music 🎶 playing,LOL

I've applied to a few of those and get a call from almost 100% Indian recruiters that seem really shady. Want me to sign a Right to Represent form immediately with no sort of job description beyond a vague sentence or two.

I've looked several up online for reviews on sites like Glassdoor and they have terrible reputations. Sweat shops, hard to get paid or even contact them once you start and fire frequently with no notice. One even wanted me to email that I committed to take the job if offered and start immediately, before an interview, phone call or salary discussion, ridiculous!

For now, don't need the money that badly so avoiding them and continuing to look for a real job. Good luck!
