Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel's Acquisition of Micron

Thoughts? Would it make sense for Intel to acquire Micron, like ASAP. This acquisition would give Intel a full exposure to the prospects of 3D XPoint memory and Micron is doing really well in this area. The earnings are volatile at Micron and if there is one thing our execs hate that's volatility, so I am not sure if this would be a match for us.

Micron's market cap is about 15B, so it's well within our reach...

Its singular - "technology", that's why the links don't work. It's &micron-technology or thelayoff.com/micron-technology

No, Micron is in a commodity cutthroat industry.

Intel has no value-add to Micron and vice-versa.

Neither company has the scale to compete with Samsung.

Which means...our clusterfvck execs are probably seriously considering this.

No for many reasons but the big two

First Altera purchase s---ed all of Intel's cash! The burn rate for 10nm and 7nm is eye popping and their schedule for revenue is slipping. Check Intel's cash and debt, no money.

Second micron is a memory and commodity manufacture, offers nothing. But maybe Intel could learn how to be much leaner and cheaper in TMG, more layoffs, ha ha.
