Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The arrogance of Intel

The virtuous cycle of growth philosophy process Intel thinks it is the entire ecosystem. Whilst companies like Apple cherry pick great solutions from vendors and add value where they are uniquely placed. Intel does everything but nothing well. We might have end to end solutions buy who buys them? No single company buys the data center wireless network infrastructure and phones. Only a company spoiled in monopoly markets thinks this way.

Yup, x86 monopoly provided more than 20+ years of profit beyond anyone's dreams.

The product and process teams methodology and full management team has spent the last two decades developing egocentric process and egos. Nobody in the organization from top to bottom has any prospective of competiton, customer service or how the rest of the world thinks and works. The situation is especially acute im TMG and the CEO office! The product side with the recent hires is getting some new generals but the rank and file will take a long time to change, too long in technology time.

TMG is a runaway train and will have a huge wreck with Foundry, IoT, and 10nm development and ramp. What will be left of Intel in 2018 is hard to forecast, but if more radical changes in TMG don't happen the train won't even have rails to wreck on, LOL
