"What I am asking is a SM trainee position mean this store is just the training store for the entire Kmart district?"

Yes, but not necessarily the only store that has a SM trainee.

"Is the store manager in the process of being replaced?"

Having a SM trainee is not an indicator of a store manager being replaced.

Regarding store manager trainee positions, they don't necessarily graduate to managing the store they are hired in.

Hey guys this was just posted on jobs.sears.com. Does this mean the store manager is leaving? Or what does this mean exactly? You need to copy and paste the link to look at it.

What is next? Customers having to be taught how to use a ladder to get stuff over the overheads? Also create a "Dummies guide on how to use an RMU" for customers? Next Customer Service will teach customers how to use the broken registers since there will be no cashier? All of these comments are regarding Kmart.

My store (kmart) has just 4 full time employees left. 1 pricing 2 softlines and 1 hardlines. Our lead in hardlines was told last month he has to start doing other peoples work. It is now his responsibility

After inventory just in 1 department our loss was over $100,000. We have had a steady loss since the beginning of the year

Our stockroom is empty it cant be much longer even with Eddie doing all that he does.

I wonder how bad at the SM/HR are they laying off all full time employees and planning on running the entire store on part time employees that do not know how to fix a broken register, ect.

This will be funny to watch, not trying to be mean.

As they shut down the poorly performing stores you'd expect to see revenues decrease as they have compared to 2nd quarter last year $6.2 billion v $5.66 billion but you would expect the loss to be narrowing as what should be left are the more profitable stores- however that's not happening the loss is widening and has increased by $139 million compared to the same quarter last year. It's in a death spiral.

Results out- loss of $395 million in the 2nd quarter on revenues of $ 5.66 billion. How much longer can this go on.......

The entire Kmart chain seems to be having a store manager and HR meeting today. Something must be about to happen.
