How many have heard of Innovel Solutions? Innovel is the creation of Home Delivery, Home Services, and the DC'S that support the Home Delivery Business. They were all brought under the umbrella of a potential 3PL organization that can do warehousing and delivery for other customers. Currently Innovel performs services for Costco, Naval Exchange, Air Force Exchange, and others. This is a business unit that actually is an asset because it provides services that no other competitor can because of the infrastructure it has in place. Innovel is talking to other potential customers outside of Sears as well as some of our appliance vendors. How much could this subsidiary be worth to someone like Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, etc.?

The presumably-Innovel guy in an unmarked box truck who delivered my Kenmore washing machine a couple years ago almost drove off without his hand truck. If I hadn't ran outside and caught his attention in time, he would've driven all the way to his next delivery and then had to come back. That's gotta be terrible for time management if that keeps happening. ;-)
Innovel is just a fleet of 1,000 trucks and home appliance Installers that can't manage time for sh-- delivering the industry's very worst customer experience, ranking at the bottom of every survey. Everyone who contracts with Innovel is losing customers and goodwill by doing business with them, because it delivers the customer experience Eddie is famous for.
I would not consider Innovel Solutions an asset. In the Future i will not purchase from companies that use Innovel. i'm pretty sure the complaints out number the atta boys!
Innovel Solutions is most likely worth somewhere between between $200 and $400 million (at the most). Sears Holdings burns that much cash within a few months. As such, selling this division would buy Sears maybe 2 to 3 extra months, but it certainly wouldn't be a "game changer." Plus, Innovel Solutions is reportedly profitable. Selling a profitable division would only continue to increase the losses on a company-wide basis - Sears would be left with only loss-producing divisions.
The delivery install business is lowest ranked out there today
Complaints tend to be the loudest, which explains why Sears and Kmart have disabled visitors posts from their Facebook pages, and have blocked a ton of Facebook users from posting anything on their pages. What is with Sears' Facebook page having no new posts from Sears in almost a month (last post about Cyber Monday at the end of July)... oh, and members with complaints have to resort to posting a comment under a Cyber Monday Sale promo posting in order to get the attention of the company. SHLD talks the talk of being open, honest and transparent on social media. All that is gone by disabling visitors posts, deleting comments, and sternly telling members not to post on Sears and Kmart Facebooks!
The internet is always full of people complaining. I would bet the amount of failed deliveries as compared to the total amount of deliveries is relatively small. The successful deliveries unfortunately are hardly ever talked about on social media.
They b!tch about Sears delivery because Innovel outsources the final leg of delivery to companies that pay their delivery team $120 a day, while fining them $50 when they are late getting back with the truck.
Also, Sears Outlet floor displays and Kmart in-store appliance purchases are delivered by other companies that also pay their delivery people minimum wage or less. For example, the customer is charged $69 to $89 for delivery, with the delivery driver having to do 12 deliveries on a shift. The delivery driver makes $70 for the day.
Low pay = sh!t delivery
If Innovel is so good, why is the internet full of people b--ching about Sears delivery?
