Run for your life! Hey you faker,,,,, sound familiar??????? Cake gifts for that guy you despise!!!!! O m G!!!!!
Run for the hills! Steer clear of anything EDMC! They are toxic... Like a terminal disease! You will excel much better anywhere else. :)
It depends. Would you have to move? If not, then I might take the job. If you do, then I wouldn't.
There's also EDMC's reputation to consider. Would your reputation and future job prospects be harmed in the long run. Yeah, they probably would.
Depending on the position, you may not be allowed to take time off (or highly encouraged not to take time off). If it's the Pittsburgh location, you are on a 90 day probation period and its frowned upon taking time off. Therefore, it would be extremely hard to interview for other jobs. I would say, if you have other interviews lined up, focus on other companies. EDMC once was a great place to work but the employees left are miserable and/or brainwashed.
Realize you are taking fraud money.
It's not a paycheck... It's federal taxpayer money which is you, me and everyone else here.
So... When they file bankruptcy, teach out, or whatever... Realize you are complicit in fraud and actually stealing from yourself.
Most folks don't want to swallow that reality! 👍🏼
Here's what you do. Come in, be positive and upbeat, get the job, then keep looking while taking a paycheck. Don't try super hard, just collect the check, and when you find a more stable job then leave. Always better to have a decent paying job while you're looking for another.
Yes it is with EDMC but their outlook does not look so good.
Be professional
If it's with EDMC schools I would look for better.
