Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Are the Intel cube farms legal?

There are regulations about farming livestock intensively in most countries. I'm sure the new Intel cubes would violate space requirements

You all are confused if you think work is done in the cubes. All woke is done in conference rooms and the fab, now get to work!

Engineers are most productive and do their best bug-free work in private offices with doors. This has been well known since the 50's.

The fact that we somehow think we're above that and it doesn't apply to "our" engineers is breathtakingly arrogant and just plain stupid.

I was walking through a TWWW area two days ago and couldn't believe how much louder it was than before (it's an area I frequent, but not my floor). It's like night and day, and you can 100% understand any conversation you want to listen to as they carry clear across the room. The "survey" done by CS somehow magically showed that noise was about the same as before (a resident there informed me). No measurements with a sound meter were given, of course. It was just based on opinions in a survey. I guess that's how CS monkeys with their liberal arts degrees do science.

What a bunch of idiots we have in CS and MCM.

Read 😐 what was said by @qrq THE REAL TROLL !!!

... talking about retiring and buying her home with cash.

Looks like 😐 she was being put in 😐 her place through sarcasm. It must be a big achievement for a trailer trash to own a home !!? that she needs to talk about it in discussion about cubes.

And..... how did we go from a question about cubes to these current totally off-topic rants? The mind of the troll is amazing.

It must be just me and @1scj but I'm not detecting sarcasm in @1rdw's post. Doesn't sound like @1scj was detecting it either by his response.

It must be great being a 50yrs old SPINSTER retiring early to buy a cheap house on her own to fill with just herself and settle down into her LONE SAD MISERABLE FRUGAL LIFE with little to no pleasures. @-qrq

I know retards like you at Intel with love for money so much that they forget to live and have to think thrice about buying a 50cents ice cream cone while counting pennies.

It is easy to buy a 300/400k home with cash. Most cheapsters live in such homes. TALK if you or your home are worth talking about.

Once I leave Intel - I will have better job title, better pay, better work environment and perks ..with an office of my own. Can't wait !!

I am here just passing time, learning what I can. Sitting in Intel new cube when it happens will be very temporary.

@xrh - I'm not the OP but I retired a decade early (as per the plan). I'm also paying cash for my dream home. And I'm enjoying every single minute I can do as I want to without work getting in my way.

So who's the loser now, LOSER??

No sh*t @ There was practically a revolution against Corporate Services and their force-feeding of TWWW.

But, CS GM kept trying to tell everyone that "Survey says....!!!!!" the employees LOVE it!!!

Uhm, no, they don't. Some are leaving specifically because of it. I'm one of those. Been there, done it for a year, never again. Exit, stage left for me. Thank you ERP!!

Intelers wants private cubes to surf the net, with this open work environment they actually have to talk to their coworkers that would be terrible for his backstabbing culture

I will tell you from experience that most Intel employees WANT their cubes. The modern open-office thing did not work and external studies consider it a fad that lots of companies are rolling back in favor of cubes. There was practically a revolution against Corporate Services and their force-feeding of TWWW.
