Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

Do NOV know what they are doing?

Less than 2 months after making employees redundant at Montrose/Aberdeen/Dundee, there is a recruitment drive for the very same jobs already lost??? Doesn't show management in a very good light at all, with such indecisiveness at all. Hope they have a concierge and feel for those who lost their jobs and have bills to pay, kids to feed. Oh they don't really care about that, only about themselves. Anyone applying for jobs there, DON'T, it's a fast road to nowhere (never mind the devious backstabbing barstewards they are)

A lot of NOV ex employees who have been recently redundant and have had their jobs readvertised have are taking NOV to tribual for unfair dissmissal . Check with your Union or employment advice centre. Big claims going in at the moment. That's what happens when you put Monkeys in charge Ching Ching !!!.

NOV is handicapping the remaining engineers into doing its bidding. Less than three years after the rig collapse in Singapore during jacking trials and the HSE policy came out about being onboard during jacking trails, in China the new managers at NOV is making its engineers work onboard during the very questionable Chinese jacking trials on newbuilds. When the engineers question it, they are asked which is more important, to be right or to have a job in this market.

NOV management is reactive and not proactive. If NOV is still in existence by the summer of 2017, and it gets busy again, NOV will be in trouble because of all the talent they let go. NOV will not emerge from this downturn the same way it started it back in 2015.

The only person that knows what's going on. With foresight ingenuity just plain good common sense. Great worker planner. Team builder. Great people skills. Willing to start and see the process all the way to the end. Trouble shoot problems along the way. Do what it takes to get the job done correctly efficiently and safely is Eloy. Cuellar

Doesn't surprise me, as one if those who lost their jobs, I can look back and say, it was the biggest mistake I ever did, in accepting my role in the first place. NOV only cares about itself, not the employees. Good luck to those still there, you'll need it. After next week's financial results, more cuts will come, and I hope the f---ing management team are first in line. I used to admire NOV as a company, now they have gone downhill so fast, it's like scraping sh-- off my shoe.
