Gulfstream Dallas has changed over the years, even some pilots have left for better companies. There use to be allot of good people there with good experience and knowledge and who cared about the company they worked for and the product they put out !!! But since Gulfstream is choosing to hire less qualified people, the Gulfstream name and products will suffer.

I see management allows the old guys in the service center not hit a lick all day long! You're right why would they leave the gravy train? We have way too many mechanics and managers. Why?????
Not very many left. All the ones that got the offer, stand around with their hands in their pockets doing nothing anyway. Why would they leave. Free money; all you got to do is show up.

Layoffs happened. Does anyone know how many?
Since today, 7/25/16 is the deadline for workers, the post above may be incorrect. More may have taken the offers. Regardless, if you look at some of the economists writing about GD, you will see the problems are much deeper than many employees know. Those who took the offer are probably going to be very happy they did because the worst is yet to come.
