You are at a company that wasted billions on mobile. I told them early Sofia LTE and 7460 would be a diaster 2 years ago, but no one would listen, not even Aicha. Power is the least of Atom problems for low latency requirements.
Intel should of been working on how to build a "world classs" modem and embedded processor. They could of done it , but dinosaur INTEL logic got in the way.
I was on 5G project telling management that now is the time to start looking at commercial 5G SOC, but they did not want to hear that, just work on the next demo prototyes using (guess what) ARM chip for modem. They are way behind QC.
So yes I was layed off for speaking my mind. I am not white male. I am white female. My skills are very marketable for wireless broadband, so there are other places I can go.
HAHA, since INTEL is so inept to layoff people they never even bothered to lay me off and I was actually layoff off in June, I will also get some of 3rd quarter bonus as well as 2nd quarter.

Why are their dumb question, there are no such things as dumb question just dumb managers and dumb engineers.
It reflects on how sad the communication and culture is that some of these dumb questions can't be answered by the immediate manager nor if it is answered that it can be trusted, and thus a reflection of the total breakdown in culture and trust at intel current.
