Just so you know, there is life at the other end of the wormhole. It's not a good life as no one will hire you if you're over 55, but even working at Walmart is better than EDMC. At least the patrons dress better.

Just to clear up the confusion surrounding the bonus issue, there's no way we could have gotten our bonuses this year had we given out raises, and the bonuses are in our employment contracts, so if we breach those contracts we put ourselves at risk of having to sue ourselves and goodness only knows we dont need the negative publicity. Now on to a happier topic! We have implimented a new system wide policy. From now on the CEO will greet you at your desk in the morning and flip you off. The mandated response is, "Yes sir may I have another!" This will be followed by the ceremonial pulling down of the pants and bending over so you can kiss his a**. We've been doing this at corporate for years and it's really a morale booster! Just a heads up though, DO NOT say the word whistleblower. If you do he will murder you and frame the the one remaining full time faculty member. We can't have that happen because the security guard is way overloaded with the courses he's teaching as it is (since the hologram instructor experiment failed miserably). Whatever. I can't believe that anyone at EDMC now isn't just thankful to still be working when so many are not. Boo hoo... you aren't getting a raise. You get to come to work tomorrow and next week. You are one of the lucky ones.
Go to work and do your best work. Help build the company back up. If you aren't interested in that, give up your job to someone who will appreciate it. There is nothing special about you so stop whining.
It doesn't matter that the big wigs are getting bonuses. They have contracts. Maybe when you are a big wig, you can negotiate a contract with bonuses. Until then, what they get is none of your business.

They only care about what they have always cared about and what prompted all the lawsuits... And that is their NUMBERS and their profits. Enjoy your job while it lasts. Anyone with common sense can see that isn't for long.
I left Ai for an advertising firm. At my new job every employee gets a yearly bonus based on the performance of the company. That is what a company does that values its employees.
They got their usual huge bonuses of course. This included the campus presidents.
EDMC does not care about their employees or their students. Look for another job and get out of there.
Anyone know what kind of bonuses the executives received so no one else could get a raise?
