NOV is laying off older employees replace later with younger

NOV is slick they layoff older experience employees saying that their position is no longer needed then a couple months later they promote a younger employee to same position but call it a different name but still same job duties and responsibilities

Yes its happening but glad im gone after 25 + years

Totally agree with the above. Business can be great one year and bad the next but the lick a-- culture that is being practiced and protected by higher ups who are either corrupt or have things to hide themselves is unbelievable. Honest hardworking people have no future with NOV unless they s--- up to incompetent bosses. Let all young talented people know that investing their time with NOV is not wise unless they enjoy analingus! !

Its happening at Montrose/Dundee/Aberdeen as well, restructured departments, same roles (different titles) in less than 10 weeks since the redundancy exercise.

Your so true, this company is run like the Government. Only people who back stab, lie, & in many cases are incompetent. They get ahead because their family works there, or you lick what ever your supervisor wants licked. The worthless clicks protect themselves & get rid of employees that threaten that click.

NOV is really something. The people at the top, and this applies to corporate and to company presidents, are good at convincing others they are good. They are smooth talkers who have the ability to convince others they have so much to offer but in reality it is all talk and they never accomplish anything. This is not someone badmouthing employees or bitter.....I am simply speaking the truth. The good, honest straight-shooter type will never get ahead at NOV even if he really is smart and totally proficient at his job. You need to lie and manipulate to get ahead....that worked for Matta for years. Does anyone really believe he was the only unethical man at NOV? He is just one of many. He took the fall for many who still remain conducting business in areas they should not conduct business. There are a lot of hands that are not clean and their secrets still remain in the closet but they are not gathering dust. I know people who have managed to leave with these secrets well-documented on emails on their personal zip drives. They are waiting to use them if need be. You can get rid of employees and limit their access but there were many who saw it coming and safe guarded things. Beware of those who lurk in the shadows......the ones you let go will have their due justice. You won't see it coming but when it does......
