your grade level there and base salary offered? (what % higher than your intel salary)
how much is bonus (this may be variable, but what did they say it's approx. going to be)?
What is the relo package like? (Realtor service? Cash out option?)
Did they match your expired stock options / RSU's ?
any sign on bonus ? RSUs?

Was offered a job in Qualcomm SD. Offer was about 110k annaul, 10k sign-on, 5k relo, and about 25k RSU.
Definite try to negotiate on annual if u're ok with everything else.
They said they will get back with in a week. So waiting and wanted to get an idea, so I can negotiate.
OP - How long did Qualcomm take to get back to you after ur onsite? Did u hear from hiring manager or HR
To the OP: You are unlikely to find the salary much different from what you made in OR. Maybe 10%. Maybe 20% uplift in TCOMP if you're really lucky and still are employed (It's easier to find a job when you already have one). Remember, there are plenty of H1B's competing for those jobs at "CurryCom". I would not expect much of a relo package, if one is offered at all. Don't expect them to match lost RSU's or bonuses. Who do you think you are? Fat-Boy Murthy?
You will find that the cost of living, especially housing will be considerably more expensive versus OR. Just take a look on Zillow to see what's for sale around Hillsburrito versus anything proximate to "CurryCom"
Additionally, everything will be more expensive. You will contend with somewhat higher income taxes, plus the addition of Sales Tax on just about everything you buy (8% in San Diego?), so your disposable income will only be worth ~92% of what it is in OR.
Depending on your spouse, kids and housing situation, you may be better off finding something locally, even if it takes a while (especially if your spouse is currently employed). If you're single and currently rent, it won't be so painful, but you will still have to make some adjustment to your expectations.
Everyone's situation is different, but for most, a move to either the Bay Area, or San Diego will involve a lifestyle downgrade - why else do you think so many Californicators retire and move to OR?

Best thing to do is ask the interiewers about Qualcomm, their recent reduction and how they view their competitiveness compared to the Chinese companies and then do our own research.

I personally considered them but found out the VP I wanted to work for fled the company right after the last round of layoffs and is now working for the company I am likely to join, tells you enough.
Qualcomm like Intel is on the ropes, but unlike Intel with good leaderhship/vision and execution can bounce off for another round, Intel will not survive past 10nm is a certain under the direction BK is going!
Interview there - get an offer then decide.

The reality is all semiconductor companies in USA are going through a rough phase and consolidation. Try thinking of names of companies that didn't layoff in the last three years and which may not layoff for another two years.
So which company is the best to work for if one wants a stable job? I'd take the company that gives most pay and take my chances.

Holy crap! Dont focus too much on $$$$$. Qualcomm is not doing well. Just like Intel.
