Payroll tool problem?

I talked to payroll yesterday to see why I haven't received my separation money. (Isp in AZ, June 1 was last date employed). He said there was a problem with the payroll tool and someone would contact me to give me a date of when I should expect to be paid. Has anyone else heard this? I'm very grateful for severance pay but, need the money now. :(

When I talked to payroll they said severance pay will be taxed at the supplemental rate like our bonuses. So around 40-45%.

I accepted the ERP and received the payout of one year of salary and 4 weeks of sabbatical on July 1. I also received a paycheck stub which was mailed to my home.

I also haven't received separation pay. I called too and was told there is a backlog in processing payroll, but wasn't aware of a tool issue. The person I spoke too was at least sympathetic and I did later get an email from somebody that they were now starting the process. I don't know yet when the pay will come or whether it will be a regularly scheduled payroll cycle or out of cycle.

I did notice that the SERMA add-on amount has been loaded, so that's good.
