If Apple indeed has given Intel 50%, then they are doing it to ensure their profit charts look good ! Given that a $15 chip is being sold at $5, any amount of volume will not compensate for the loss. I am not sure which part of this deal makes sense to Murthy !!

surely you are being sarcastic. Read replies here and other places. Intel will go the way of Kodak and DEC.

Why are the investors, intel employees and others so stupid.

1) Modem designed by a bunch of Germans that Intel overpaid for

2) The chip is fabricated in TSMC as intel process with DR and features wasn't designed for modems

3) To get Apple Intel bent over, had a lot of KY. You think they are priced high like they do with their CPUs are like they did with their Celerons decades ago when AMD was competing, there ain't no margin there at all.

4) Apple you know their reputation to string along two suppliers then cut to one, and you think it would be Intel, world renown modem guys with a flexible process for analog?

Intel is not getting more than 30% of iphone. Eventually Qualcomm will reduce the price and apple will go back.

What is Intel's PE compared to say FB, Amazon, Google.. of course it could run.

But you think the bidders really know what the hell is going one with the next generation products and process, they really understand the shell game positioning with the iPhone7 modem. They really understand the status of Moore's Law, really understand how positioned Intel is in 5G, memory, or Foundry.

Well, I'd say the stock isn't necessarily soaring on its own accord @-irv... It's part of the Dow Jones which closed at a record high today, so..... sorry to burst your bubble.

Isn't TSMC making those? INTC is just the middle man between ARM, TSMC and Apple. This sounds like a pilot program to split Intel in two: design and fab. It's about time.

Executive management team have vision, well crafted plans for short, medium , and long term growth. Morale is great, employees fully support their management.

In 2002 PSO promised 25B to 50B growth in 2007... Sounds a sad joke now. I do see a 55B to 25B decline in 5 years (2021), and I am not the CEO. Do not want to be.

All the best, Intel.
