One correction: the Stafford plant did not get moved to Cedar Park. Rather, their work got moved to Cedar Park, but the Stafford people (expect two people from Manufacturing and two from Engineering) got all laid off. That's nearly 30 people in total. The work of the laid-off bunch got absorbed by the Cedar Park so they can stay afloat in the tumultuous times. Very good example how NOV treats it's people.

Rig Solutions will pull the plug on Cedar Park orders because there aren't any rig orders. Cedar Park is under Wellbore/DDS but 75% of the orders coming from Rig Solutions.

Thanks for the update!

just curious, which was better at managing Cedar Park - Rig Solutions or Wellbore/DDS?

Cedar Park hasn't been part of Rig Solutions for 2 years. It's a Wellbore/DDS plant, and the Stafford plant was just moved to Cedar Park a week ago. Might want to update your org charts.

NOV will be shutting down plants one at a time one a month till the end of the year not just in Texas but in Louisiana also simple you dont generate enough money your closed

Rig Solutions is going down hill and none of the corporate execs know what to do

Sure wish Pete had not left

Been gone from NOV for 6 months now after 23 years sure a lot better now

Rig Systems will pull the plug on Cedar Park manufacturing. This facility is in the list to be cut.

If this is true, then it would be horrible for people from DDS at Stafford who were just moved to Cedar Park? (Stafford was shuttered last week).

That one and a few others over the next 3 months. More to come if oil doesn't go up. They'll shut down plants rather than get rid of corporate suits.

NOV Cooperate is directing to close facilities that are not making money. NOV Cedar Park is one of them.
