The buyers are still in the Barnett Shale. 4 weeks Saddle is the name. Must have a LOT of cash. Not just the BS. 2 other plays are have been thrown in to sweeten the deal. But who knows for sure
True it is the biggest expense now but it also is the reason Chk is what it is today. We get why they want to cut ties to cut cost all we want is a good parting gift ( if we are sold). to say thank you for helping Chk grow into what it is today
@5nvc the Barnett is the biggest expense that CHK has. Dry gas, high emissions related costs, and cerfews make the profit s--- in the Barnett.
What makes you think those posts are CHK employees? Plenty of CHK haters out there!
Yup no care what so ever so sad...looks like the Barnet is going to save Chk once it sells to pay off some of the debt. The Barnett started Chk now going to save it hope they do the employees there right.
The last two posts are exactly what's wrong with what is left of CHK.
The barnette is a dry play located around the DFW area and south.

Per KD it's 90% they are not selling. Going to be a decision based on basketball.
Barnett folks wish that was true. Sale almost done deal. But THEY could walk away. 90%done. But 10% no is still a no. Will see.
