So what's the story at Orange today?
The only thing that may save Pampa Tx. is NOV owns the land & will have to pay taxes on the land. Otherwise this sh--hole would be history!
Orange NOV does not own the land, it's a lease, same for some of the buildings.
NOV should pickup and get out of CA. They can sell the land to the city to start a trailer park for all of the RVs parked along Poplar St.
Pampa will not have a lay off, our team of management is the best at NOV. NOV can't close Pampa, it will cost the company to much money. Don't worry Pampa!
Pampa Tx. is to, IF the rumors are true.
Other facilities will be hit also, to be named later when the layoffs happen.
Eldridge is a likely contender. Scuttlebutt says this week.
