He's not even trying to be Steve. Whereas jobs cut the product line, BK wants Intel to be in everything because he can't pick a winner. He's like those guys you see at the roulette table that put their chips on every number. Sure he'll win some but it's stacked in the house's favor.

Dudes you people are expecting politicians to pay for their crimes?
I'm not sure if BK simply has no clue and is swinging at every pitch as hard as he can, or if he's so focused on diversity and bathrooms that there simply isn't time to find a winning strategy.
Frankly, I'm dumbfounded that Mr. "mobile phones and tablets" is allowed to do a 180, kill the top products in those categories and keep his position when those are what fueled his rise to power. We spent billions in contra-revenue to gain marketshare and now we're throwing it all away to start from zero again with 5G.
San Jose State graduate capability in full demonstration here.. bet on all the numbers and win on one, happy even though he lost his shirt... LOL
Can you imagine Steve Jobs paying some as*holes from Bain to lay out a strategy for him?
BK knows no better...
Well DUH he's trying to be STEVE BALMER!
Case in point. BK laid $20bn on the mobile roulette table and "won" a few hundred million back from Apple.
BK thinks the next big thing will come from a reality tv show.
I wish I was joking.
He who bets on it all as the OP accurately indentified has no clue and is guaranteed to lose as resources and focus are diluted and will never be competitive with those that put all the chips, focus and talent all in, LOL
