Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Any ISP who hasn't received the full package yet?

Hi, I'm just wondering how much longer I should wait before I receive the rest of the severance package? I haven't received the 9K from Cobra as well.

I worked at the company more than two decades. Got a surprise S4, first time in my career. Shown the door after a 10' with my boss, never a checkback from him, or my boss before him for 10 years... what a company.

During the whole process did an appeal, never heard back. Most emails took days to get returned and often clueless was the response as was many calls.

It is shocking how a company that prides itself on being a leading edge technology company that is quick, response and on top of things can execute something like this both so poorly and also so unfairly.

I remember BK's quote during the quaterly right before I got kicked to the curb, that he'd handle the people with the greatest of respect, and if anything was screwed up it would be fixed pronto.

I WAS NOT treated with respect for the more than two decades I gave to the company! Nothing was done promptly with and nothing that I saw that was broken was fixed either.

But how can I be surprised, look at the issue at the company, they are so overwhelming from top to bottom that all levels of management are buried. But this all starts at the top, the guy at the top must have a clear vision, the brilliance and vision to see the real gaps, fix them and set a light of leadership and inspiration. BK is not even close to having any of the qualities to rescue the company from where it is. So sad this legend of a company that Noyce, Grove and Moore built that change the world... is now ruined and getting worse

Intel has been good to me and I appreciate Intel for providing the income in return for the time I worked at intel. We know intel can be crystal clear on its goals and visions and have clear communications on it's projects. But my experience with intel on VSP, is it has been as clear as mud from day one I accepted the VSP, in intel's handling of VSP. It is as vague as it could be allowed by law and in my opinion intel bends the law to the limit. How hard it is for Intel to list down all the money figures intel is planning to pay out? How hard it is for intel to inform us that we need to initiate Cobra to get our $9K? Why is the HR help line take so long to reach a live person? I still not know today and will never know what are the breakdowns of the direct deposits Intel has given me. Thank you. Don't get me wrong, I respect and appreciate Intel very much still and may still want to apply back when the dusts settled. I just wish Intel would treat the ISP/VSP/ERP with more respect by providing a clear accounting of $ with a listed breakdown they willing to pay us ahead of time before our departure. I asked multiple times and I still can't believe I need to find out by googling the web to find out on how to get my $9K promised by Intel. Guys - call 1-877-gomyben to start your 6-months Cobra and that should initiate your $9K to be deposited in your ac before your 45days grace period ran out.

I can confirm what 6-aby said. I have all my deposits already except the 9k Cobra. OCAC opt #7 did say end of june/mid july is the cobra deposit. I'm just waiting on that and I'm finished with Intel, FINALLY.

Sweet 6 figure deposit this week, thanks BK for the great parting gift and keep BKing the company to the bottom of the ocean. I'll be at better led company shortly, LOL

Got final severance Thurs 6/30/16 direct deposit = Last 2w severance + LoS weeks + 1d QBP.

Calculated @ [End May Base pay rate + 1x ABP] / 52w x [# weeks of sev].

Separate direct deposit same day for SPP refund from mid-feb thru end May.

Still waiting on $9K Cobra ($6K after taxes) to be direct deposited per Intel HR on 6/23/16 by 7/15/16. You also have to go online to Aon Hewitt and sign up for Cobra first to start the clock on the 2-3w $9K payment. They never told me or sent any docs found that out by accident and lucky as you only have 45 days from term date to do it.

Of course they been late on everything else by at least a week so far including mixing up term dates on different docs which has now delayed pension and retirement rollover money from Fidelity. That is also 'supposed to be in the next 2w' vs. 6/23/16 which is what they told me weeks ago.

Good luck, call payroll at the Intel HR 800 #, option 7. Expect a LONG wait, 45m to over an hour both times i called, but you will get someone eventually who can walk you thru the payment calculations for everything and tell you status.

You'll wait until you get told. That's how long you will wait.
