Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Took VSP but got my normal pay on 6/30....as if I never took VSP. No 6-week payout anywhere in sight. Anyone else? What's going on?

You're asking your question in the wrong place, OP. I'd call Intel/HR back, and ask THEM if they will be processing your VSP as you have the email proving you pushed the button. Well, if you do have that proof.... if no proof then you'd better get your butt in to work.

I'm being serious. Either you have proof you took the offer and can prove it (get them to commit to a date to fix your situation), or you don't have proof and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. That round of VSPs are over meaning you're STILL EMPLOYEED unless you have proof you accepted it and it's their error.

Good luck.

OP Update: after several phone calls, long hold times, and a couple of emails, i am still an active employee today. The only reason given is that it's likely human error due to the volume of work surrounding ACT. I'm not sure if I'll be paid on the 15th or if I'll get my package or when...the wait is affecting my moving fwd and my state of mind. Do I have any recourse? Any suggestions?

OP, we apologize for the mix up. We will be deducting the amount in error from your bank account shortly, so please make sure you have sufficient funds in the next few days. We appreciate your contributions to Intel and wish the best of luck in your future career.

wow @ OP. LOL So.... if you're still confirmed as an active employee... are you unable to be VSP'ed as you had intended? Maybe yours didn't go through. I wonder if they can push you through or if it's too late (and you're still employed). Hopefully you printed out or emailed to your personal account proof that you pushed the button.

Good luck! Keep us posted for sure. So weird. lol

Same here!! Only saw a direct deposit of my regular paycheck on June 30. It's like they think I'm still working there. Not sure what's going on.

OP here again: I signed on 6/15, so that may be the issue. I'll wait for 7/15 before I start calling payroll...I'd rather not wait but clearly I get false information when I call.

When did you sign the separation agreement? There is a window where you can rescind the separation agreement. The final payout happens after the resicion period. I signed the agreement on 6/3 and got my final payout on 6/24

For VSP: I received my last regular paycheck on 6/30 but no SPP was withheld so it was a bit bigger than normal. I then got the severance check on 7/1. I called payroll and verified it included the 8 weeks plus the time of service weeks. The SPP balance should come within a few cycles as well as the Cobra payout.

Here in Oregon too, packed up and ready to move and these sorry f---s ain't paying. On my 2nd call to payroll Thursday I was informed "a few pay periods" like no one f---ing knows. So much for the state law requiring f---ers to pay you when they terminate you. I'm burning cash and daylight waiting.

My virtual location closure date was to be 24 June. However, virtual site closures have been generally mishandled across the board (mine certainly was), so I was not in the system to receive a final paycheck on that date (so out of compliance with NV state law for final paycheck on involuntary termination).

So to get around that, they moved site closure date to 30 June for normal payroll. My usual direct-deposit took place the day before, then 5am PDT the WARN part of the payout (6 weeks) less a chunk of tax was direct-deposited.

The take-home appears to be: "the system" is essentially broken, payouts are forthcoming, supposedly. I have yet to receive the ADD stuff that everybody else already got, so I didn't get to sign the separation and release stuff yet. I guess pulling that together for one person with 2 months notice was too much to handle.

No joy.

I'm also in NM, got two checks on 7/1: the last paycheck plus (I think) the VAC/PA payouts. The other check was probably full severance for 23 yrs plus sabbatical. Again, until the hard copy pay stubs arrive via snail mail next week, I won't know for sure.

I have no cobra settlement yet whatsoever. Waiting on mailed package.

I would bet your payout will happen next pay cycle if not sooner.

It's a stressful mess, that's for damn sure.

Set up a script to move it all into bitcoins, then find a beach in south america to retire to. Or email the vsp address.

OP here: I'm in OR.

I've gotten nothing but my exact normal 6/30 paycheck. I should only have gotten normal pay through 6/24. Then on 7/1, I should have gotten a portion of my severance package. Instead I only got my previously normal paycheck to the dollar, nothing more. It's like they think I still work there. Has this not happened to anyone else?

And I don't like the thought that they could go in and pull monies back out to fix this debacle...not even sure who to contact as everytime I call in, they don't seem to know what they are doing. :(

Where are you? In NM and received 2 payouts my weeks for 16 years, my regular paycheck and possibly my PA and vacation time (non exempt). Still waiting on 9K for cobra and the 6 week payout. Hard to tell what's what without payslip. Should come in mail.
