Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How are current leaders lost $40,000,000,000

For all those who were recently fired for "low performance" keep in mind who really are the low performers. McAfee bought for $7.7bn Intel are now looking for a suitor at $2bn. Infineon wireless bought for $1bn now worthless. This folley alone has probably cost Intel $20bn with all the losses in mobile. Then there's Altera. FPGA companies win market share when they are on the latest node. Well ladies and gentlemen xlinx are winning market share. The Altera business in 3 years will be worthless and in any event Intel paid x3 the market rate. So just remember who the failures really are!

The list is probably way longer. Xscale, IXP, Shiva, Dialogic, Internet Hosting, Larrabee are others that come to mind. Not one VP was fired when these acquisitions failed.

For every deal the executives got paid. They are not stupid. They are just lining their pockets.

Untold billions more in losses are yet to come.

Buckle up buckaroos.

The decline of the PC will cause more fab closures and more layoffs.

The virtuous cycle is broken and no one at the top has a clue what to do.

Those of us who still own shares need to be at the next stockholder meeting making this point.

And suing the board on behalf of the stockholders.

It is amazing to me they walked a few thousand employees who were S/4 while the people who spent billions on acquisitions continue to make 7-8 figure incomes, those that presided over very late and low yielding technologies are promoted..

All comes to show you tell your kids to grow up to be executives as they get all the perks even if they BK it.

Low performers are: BK, Sohail, Andy Bryant, Stacy Smith, Diane Bryant, Aicha, Richard Taylor, and the Board of Directors. They all should be shown to the door without packages because their packages was spent on the 10 Billion Dollars for smartphones and tablets that was flushed down the toilet.

Micron just warned on weak PC sales.

Looks like they got BK'd.

The PC dinosaur just got hit by a meteor. More losses to come. Certainly more layoffs.
