Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

Welcome to obamacare

Having worked at progressive infested Seagate, I welcome all the obama worshipers to their hero's brainchild. Remember, if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Period!

To the few intelligent Seagate employees, you have my sympathy.

I used to be at Sgate. Now at Medtronic. Rolls Royce health insurance, compared to Slavegate. Fukc Slavegate. No politics here, compared to the whining brats at Sgate with egos so huge they couldn't even fit into the conference room.

Used to work at Seagate in the aughts. Had great insurance. Sounds like it got WAY CHEAPENED so the execs could still buy boats, second homes, elite dog food for muffy, boobjob for the wife.

Regarding Obamacare:

1) Did not the entire congress pass this measure? Were republicans asleep when this was passed? I guess. Get better coffee, or get more sleep the night before a big vote. Free advice.

2) If Obamacare is so horrid, were is the republican alternative? NEWS FLASH: THERE ISN'T ONE. ALWAYS WHINING ABOUT OBAMACARE, NEVER OFFERING AN ALTERNATIVE. Put up or shut up, babs. Ba-blab-blab-on.

What would Paul Wellstone say? Exactly what Ronnie would say: "Damn that Bonzo anyway..."

Just a PSA: While we bicker about whether life was better pre-ObamaCare or now, let's not forget that the real issue here is healthcare costs/billing.

As you were..

I laughed at people who thst the hd plan was great. It saves you money they all sang gleefully. I knew once they phased out ppo plan and there was no comparison left to remember, they'll jack up the hd premiums to the level you paid for ppo. Such fools at Seagate, how could they nog see that coming? One crappy company that will continue to strip our benefits.

Oh yeah..health insurance. Do you want the high deductible plan, or the extremely high deductible plan? Just wait until you see the premium and deductible increase for next year. Better buy it or you might land in jail for not following Obama's commands.

Progressive infested indeed, but there are a few good conservative minded people around. You might not know because we are underground so to speak. We know what happens when open minded progressives hear you say something against the political correct agenda. It can hurt the career if the wrong liberals find out about you. That's why there is a policy of openness at Seagate. So they can find us out and discriminate. On the bright side, Seagate has yet to adopt a pick your own gender bathroom policy. Can't wait to identify as female and walk into the ladies shower room though.

actually it is better to have no insurance if you are you and healthy and like to take a chance. 1500 per year premiums plus a couple of doctors visits per year for a cold comes to about 1700. Without insurance, something like 150-175 per visit to clinic with medicine plus 800 penalty to 2016 IRS1040 (avg Seagate employee salary). total comes to less then 1200. If you make up to 70000 a year then it is about the same. If you don't even get sick just pay pemalty and you win.

It sucks that after hour clinic visits are not cheaper as it is with other insurances. Many others let you go to Walgreen's or CVS clinics for $10. Faster and easier to go there too.

You sound like a bitter Nancy. Better than no insurance.

The Seagate provided insurance wasn't that great to begin with. Had better insurance at crappier jobs.
